Diagnostic Biosystems PERMAGREEN PLUS/AP PermaGreen Plus/AP
PermaGreen Plus/AP is a substrate-chromogen system designed to be used for either IHC or ISH when utilizing alkaline phosphatase. PermaGreen Plus/AP has been modified to increase stability and staining intensity, producing astrong green color that is insoluble in alcohol and xylene substitutes (both aliphatic hydrocarbon and citrus based); therefore sections can be dehydrated in alcohol, cleared in xylene substitute*, and permanently mounted. However, we recommend air drying slides and then permanently mounting. This chromogen substrate system may be used for both automation and manual use.

The homeodomain-containing transcription factor NKX3-1 is a putative prostate tumorsuppressorthatis expressed in a largely prostate-specific and androgen-regulated manner. Loss of NKX3-1 protein expression is a common finding in human prostate carcinomas and prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia.
McMaster-Carr Magnetic Brackets
The McMaster-Carr Magnetic Brackets are made of steel with a zinc plating to resist corrosion. They have extremely strong rare earth magnets on the back to adhere to ferrous metal surfaces. The brackets can support up to 50 lbs loads on vertical surfaces when used in pairs. They are 1" wide x 2" high x 1/2" deep. The magnets measure 1/2" dia x 1/4" thick. They allow you to mount things on metal without drilling holes. Typical applications include mounting signs, hooks, and more on surfaces like toolboxes, shelving, cabinets, and equipment.

The BPL48V75ART2U Extended Battery Module from CyberPower will extend the battery life of the PR3000LCDRTXL2U, PR5000LCDRTXL5U, and PR6000LCDRTXL5U Smart App Online UPS systems during power outages. This battery module features a hot-swappable and user-replaceable battery pack consisting of twelve 12V/9Ah sealed lead-acid cells with a typical recharge time of 8 hours. Although it has a 2 RU form factor, this module can also be installed in a tower configuration.

This antibody recognizes a protein of 38kDa, identified as synaptophysin. It labels normal neuroendocrine cells of human adrenal medulla, carotid body, skin, pituitary gland, thyroid, lung, pancreas, gastrointestinal mucosa, Paneth’s cells in the gastrointestinal tract and gastric parietal cells. Neurons in the brain, spinal cord, and retina are also labeled. In combination with anti-chromogranin A and anti-NSE, anti-synaptophysin is very useful in the identification of normal neuroendocrine cells and neuroendocrine neoplasms.

Villin is One of the gelsolin family of calcium regulated actin binding proteins. Normally expressed in the brush border of epithelial cells lining the gastrointestinal tract, hepatobiliary tract and renal proximal convoluted tubules. In colorectal carcinoma, villin is highly expressed. In practice, villin can be included in the panel used for metastatic carcinoma to detect colorectal origin.

Multiple isoelectric variants of calponin have been identified but only two molecular weight isoforms exist (34kDa and 29kDa). Expression of the 29kDa form, I-calponin, is primarily restricted to muscle of the urogenital tract, whereas the higher molecular weight variant has been demonstrated in vascular and visceral smooth muscle. Calponin is a calmodulin, F-actin and tropomyosin binding protein, which is thought to be involved in the regulation of smooth muscle contraction. Calponin expression is restricted to smooth muscle cells and has been shown to be a marker of the differentiated (contractile) phenotype of developing smooth muscle.

CD7 is expressed by most peripheral blood T cells, NK cells, and all thymocytes. It is one of the earliest surface antigens on T and NK-cell lineages. The antibody is a useful aid for classification of T-cell malignancies.
